Roman Day

I’m Alfie and I am here to tell you about Roman day that happened recently in Year 4. In Roman day we learnt about Romans and we made a presentation on a shield, we performed a play or we could make a poster on Roman facts. The funny part was that we had our faces painted red and blue. The red face paint was for blood effects for a Roman soldier who had come from battle.

The blue paint was for the Celts because when the Celts went to battle, they put blue paint in a way that intimidated their enemy.

Also, the children made mosaics as an activity. They either made a soldier, a roman helmet, a horse or a roman idea of their own.

My review of the Railway Children

The Railway Children

HELLO (again)! My name is Ashika and  this is my 1st blog. I’m going to tell you about a play called the railway children. It was performed by M and M productions and is based on a very famous book. It was a marvellous play with funny bits such as when Peter stole the lantern from Mr Perkins. Unfortunately, a group of people thought the father was a spy even though he was not. This was because a Russian man, who was jealous of him, forged papers about him interviewing a polish spy captain. This story was very sad.
